1309154435 81 Why not consider a transplant?First of all, I plan to take some pictures to add to this thread, but let me start with this. I’m 28, I guess a NW 2, and have some thinning. I started receding at about age 21, but my hair retained its thickness. The temple recession has been fairly gradual with the biggest change being that my hair started thinning approximately a year ago (vertex and small spot on crown). To remedy this, I started Propecia 5 months ago, Shiseido Adenogen 3 months ago, and I recently started using keto cream a few times per week. I generally shampoo with a tea tree based product and occasionally use Revita. I think I will switch to 2% Nizoral 3-4 times per week and use the tea tree formulation the other days. Anyway, Propecia definitely has helped. My crown looks much better and, together with the Adenogen, I’m seeing some thickening and regrowth at the hairline. Unfortunately, the side effects that weren’t all that bothersome when I started Propecia are becoming problematic and starting to worry me. I’m simply not willing to mess around with this stuff anymore because of the constant brain fog, decreased libido, and testicular pain. I’m going to discontinue Propecia this week.

So now I’m faced with some decisions. I want to continue halting the progression of MPB and ultimately achieve regrowth. I know the consensus is that a hair transplant is not advisable until hair loss is stabilized, but why can’t I pursue this if I continue with the keto and Adenogen and add something like topical spiro? Money is not a consideration, as I can afford a HT. I would also see a reputable surgeon. I believe the pics I attach in the next day or two will establish that my donor area is very strong. So why shouldn’t I seek a hair transplant? At this point, I just want to have nice hair permanently without sacrificing my health.
